Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FishCare AI handles information when you use the app. We collect only the information needed to provide account access, synchronize aquarium records, and produce the care guidance you request.

Information you provide

• Account information supplied by Apple or Google, such as an account identifier, name, email address, or avatar.
• Aquarium records, including tanks, fish, water readings, symptoms, notes, and care history.
• Optional fish photos selected for a health check or follow-up. These photos are saved with your care records so you can review and compare them later. They remain until you delete your account and associated records.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, synchronize your records, generate rule-based or AI-assisted guidance, maintain app security, troubleshoot failures, and provide customer support. We do not sell personal information or use health-check photos for advertising.

Service providers

FishCare AI uses Supabase for authentication and database services. Firebase Analytics measures app opens, registration, and subscription steps using an app instance identifier and, after sign-in, an account identifier. Its Android SDK may access the device advertising ID for analytics. Analytics events do not include your email address, aquarium records, or photos. Apple and Google process sign-in information when you choose their login services. If AI analysis is enabled, the selected photo and relevant aquarium context may be sent to Google Gemini solely to answer your request. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google Play according to your device. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which receives your account identifier, subscription and purchase status, and the email address on your FishCare account so we can help with subscription support.

Retention and security

Account-linked records remain until you delete them or request deletion, subject to limited legal or security retention requirements. Data is transmitted using encrypted connections. No security method can guarantee absolute protection.

Your choices

You can avoid optional photo processing, sign out, clear local preview data, or use Profile → Delete account and care data to permanently remove your FishCare account and associated database records. You can also request deletion through our account deletion page. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

Children

FishCare AI is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
